Razer DeathAdder V2 vs Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury

Razer has evolved as a big name when we talk about the latest mice of the tech town. It is giving a hard time to its potential enemies in terms of design and functioning. The design contributes fully to the sensitive and efficient sensor that makes the mouse a perfect choice in gaming.

Logitech isn’t far behind Razer and has come up with its deadly Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury, which stands tall with all its might being a furious competitor.

DESIGN

The overall color theme is the characteristic black, which later blends with two different shades present in each one. The green color theme in V2 mixes with black and gives a retro kind of effect. On the other hand, there is the bluish sky theme reigning G402 giving a deep-sea impact.

When we look at the build of both, it seems as if G402 repeats the traditional look of a mouse within it. V2, on the contrary, has gone trendier with the most brilliant possible appearance. The notched wheel present in both of them shows the difference in terms of its magnitude.

We get to find G402’s wheel thick, and so the heaviness of its 103g weight. But, the minimalist V2 gives it a lighter touch with 113g. Both of them use the right-hand aid, where the resting support within G402 is the thumb. This, however, lacks in V2. Both of them are wired.

FEATURES

Both of them possess the same number of mechanical buttons, making them 8 altogether in each one. However, Hyperion Fury exceeds its siblings because of 3 side buttons as the rival V2 has 2 merely. But, it seems as if the side buttons aren’t much significant in the overall functioning of both. V2 takes its lead back from its rival with 18 programmable inputs within it, which reduce by number 3.

In short, a difference of 3 digits, i-e 15 inputs, loses the race. In addition to that, the DPI switching button is there to support V2 in its noble cause of absolute win lacking in Hyperion Fury. However, both of them do come with the profile switch button.

PERFORMANCE

Coming with the essential Optical LED sensor, they reflect their distinct nature within the respective sensor employed within them. The Focus+ sensor present in V2 has to offer a lot from the sensitivity to the connectivity of the mouse. The Fusion Engine Hybrid sensor running in the wires of Hyperion fury doesn’t seem that impressive, which gets cleared from its respective CPI(DPI) rate. This rests at 4000 CPI value in total, which is very low compared to the powerful 20K CPI limit of V2, which explains its limited performance.

One good thing about G402 is the presence of its characteristic Logitech G Hub software compared to the Razer Synapse 3 present in rival. The presence of this software gives it full compatibility with both Windows and macOS. The MacOS support, however, becomes partial within V2.

PRICE

DeathAdder V2 sets itself high in the sky with its elevating price range compared to the rival. A difference of few extra bucks ranging from $60-$70 describe its significance. However, Logitech G402 is cheaper than the rival marking up a bit of difference.

FINAL VERDICT

Razer DeathAdder V2 is the one for you, fulfilling all its gaming duties with its susceptible sensor. The powerful sensor and smart design contribute to give you a remarkable gaming experience. But, all this works as long as you stay committed to the Windows. You need to check for Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury for macOS compatibility, who gets to become inclined fully over here.
