The world is quickly turning its preferences from the earlier available heavy gadgets to minimal devices. Every smartphone is manufactured by keeping this principle in mind. It appears that Edge Plus takes the due applause because of the presence of a very minimal weight which is almost near to 203 grams.

This minimal weight looks lighter when we view the 222 grams weight of S20 Ultra. The heavy body of S20 Ultra is because of the strength incorporated within its basic build. The framework has gone metallic in both because vintage is the new trend of the town. So, you are going to find aluminium in as the soul bearer giving the shape of the original design.

The basic framework of aluminium then receives its glass body and completes its smart structure. However, a thing which is worth mentioning over here is the presence of different levels of Corning gorilla glass in both of the designs. S20 Ultra tends to move to the future and uses Corning Gorilla glass V6 to make the body more durable and prone to accidents.

This becomes a separate case in Edge Plus, where we have V5 glass adding the strength to the build. The Gorilla glass present in both of them forms their back and front bodies. Besides, one peculiar thing about S20 Ultra is the presence of Samsung Pay body in it which handles all your payment issues which are lacking in the other.

Otherwise, both of them support nano-sim which steps to another degree of efficacy and provides support to the Hybrid dual-sim where the dual-standby principle works. Space themes are evident amidst the colour shades existing in S20 Ultra compared to the dull themes of Motorola Edge Plus.

We find Cosmic Gray, Cosmic Black and Cloud White shades in S20 Ultra, alternating with Smokey Sangria, Thunder Gray and Baltic Gray shades of Edge Plus.

The display screen of S20 Ultra is phenomenal because of the various attributes attached to it, compared to Edge Plus. This starts getting in the limelight right when we find the 6.9″ display screen of S20 Ultra, which is there to attack the 6.7″ smart screen or Edge Plus.

The display technology used in S20 Ultra is beyond appreciation because it’s an amalgamation of perfection and strength at the same time. Unfortunately, we don’t get to find Edge Plus working with the same calibre. In S20 Ultra, the outstanding Dynamic AMOLED 2X display screen seems to heighten up the vibe because of the HDR10+ in it.

Though we get to find HDR10+ in Edge Plus too the OLED screen technology is not that efficient as of S20 Ultra. Besides, both of them are famous for providing a billion colour combinations to enhance the pictorial refinement. The always-on-display type appearing in S20 Ultra while lacking in Edge Plus is another sign of its perfection which continues till we reach the resolution quality.

The resolution gets 4K UHD with S20 Ultra with the association of a superb 1440×3200 pixels resolution claiming to give you crystal clear picture quality. On the other hand, we have the Edge Plus chap where the resolution gets finer and of a UHD nature because of the 1080×2340 pixels resolution.

S20 Ultra beats the charisma of Edge Plus with the presence of its brilliant Quad camera in front of the triple camera present in the latter. Both of them have the same 108MP wide camera lens which states that you are going to get a perfect UHD picture.

The 8MP telephoto camera lens in Edge Plus gets challenged by the huge 48MP camera of S20 Ultra.

Moving to the ultrawide camera lens, Edge Plus is the more powerful one of them both with the help of its 16MP ultra-wide photo lens compared to the 12MP lens occurring in S20 Ultra. But, this distinction is covered by the latter by the presence of a 0.5MP depth camera lens ensuring purely phenomenal clarity.

Both of the cameras are known for their exceptional 4K UHD video recording with the help of their powerful cameras. Besides, the dual-LED flash existing in Edge Plus is alternated by the presence of a single LED flash in S20 Ultra, whereas both of them possess HDR and Panorama features for impressive photographs.

When it comes to the selfie cameras, S20 Ultra is ready to take the challenge with the help of its magnanimous 40MP front camera which takes purely UHD pictures. This is such a big factor in its success compared to the average level 25MP camera occurring in Edge Plus.

Besides, the HDR feature which is an attribute to the front lens if both of them, it is the presence of PDAF and dual video call which makes it special. Here, you get to find 4K UHD front camera video recording compared to the 1080pixels HD video recording feature of Edge Plus.

The sound system in S20 Ultra has got a major renovation where the stereo speakers are now tuned up by AKG. This enables them to deliver perfectly modulated 384kHz audio.

The sound modulation feature is absent in Edge Plus. We find the old school 3.5mm audio jack in Edge Plus enabling the traditionalists to sustain on the handsfree music. This is however alternated in S20 Ultra, where we have the wireless earbuds enabled sound mechanism.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 apparent in Edge Plus gets replicated by the powerful Exynos 990 chipset. This explains the extremely intelligent performance level of S20 Ultra. We get to find two versions of the Octa-core processor functioning finely in S20 Ultra.

One of them has a refresh rate of 2.73GHz, while the other possesses 2.84GHz. In contrast to this. Edge Plus comes with a single version of Octa-core processor supporting up the ideal refresh rate of 2.84GHz. Two RAM variants are existing in S20 Ultra and each one is a complete epitome of power and quality.

The 12GB RAM is the basic variant which enhances the strength and takes up the shape of the 16GB variant which is available. On the contrary, the 12GB single RAM variant supports 256GB storage memory perfectly. There are however three different storage memory variants starting from the basic 128GB, finding the mediocre partner computing at 256GB.

This reaches its desired destination of peak perfection with 512GB memory capacity. What is more influencing about S20 Ultra is the presence of a micro SD port to support the expandable memory source up to a terabyte lacking in Edge Plus.

The recent upgrade of Samsung’s internal software has brought the One UI 3.0 at the door of S20 Ultra. The guest seemed a blessing and gave an amazing number of countless inbuilt settings refining its security mechanism.

The compatibility with Android 10 is still there just like the counterpart Edge Plus, which has contributed in increasing the in app features besides the smart access to the Google Play Services in both of them.

The non removable batteries appearing in both of the devices have a Li-Po ion build. Both of them have the common fantastic 5000mAh battery capacity supporting up a battery life of 9 hours on an average in both of them.

Both are known for their exceptional performance when it comes to the fast changing mechanism. We find both supportive towards the fast and reverse wireless fast charging other than the conventional fast charging.

In addition to that, Samsung S20 Ultra proves its worth by the presence of the USB Power Delivery 3.0 in it thus making the charging process easier than ever.

PRICE COMPARISON

Samsung being a big name never fails to disappoint and since this time S20 Ultra is one perfect device. So, it gets the premium item tag associated with it. Although, Edge Plus is also a premium gadget because of its design but there you don’t find this much elevation in price as compared to the S20 Ultra.

Here, the originating cost value of S20 Ultra falling near some thousand bucks makes it a difficult choice for those having a stiff budget for whom Edge Plus is a relief with its 800 bucks initiation value.

FINAL VERDICT

It’s Samsung S20 Ultra for all the obvious reasons. Here everything is perfect, starting from the design, to performance, the camera level and the charging process, everything is managed comprehensively over here.

It seems that Samsung has set a record of uniqueness by bringing ginger this model in the market, as it’s highly built on the pattern of clientele demands. Yes, it’s a bit heavy for your wallet but the features available over here are going to turn themselves as the ultimate payback.

However, if cost remains still an issue, then you have the less expensive one in the form of Motorola Edge Plus which stands there with its powerful processor and peculiar design.
