The design is intentionally based on the horizontal pattern, so that the bass radiator can spark up the environment in no time.

Both of them do have their signature Bluetooth feature which makes them too peculiar because of the presence of the latest version of Bluetooth 4.2 available within them. Both of them are IPX7 rated which adds to their durability.

Flip 4 shows more number of features than its rival Flip 5. These become apparent in terms of the availability of double microphones with Flip 4 and a single microphone for the rival is there. Apart from that, unfortunately, you don’t get to find an analogue input within Flip 5. So, the sound quality isn’t that much pro over here. The display indicators within both of the speakers closely relate with each other including the play/pause and mic mute buttons separately.

Connectivity over Flip 5 and Flip 4 is poles apart from each other. It is worth noticing that though both of the speakers come from the same series, still the difference in connectivity is apparent. Flip 4 has Connect+ which enables it to connect with all other speakers using the same feature in its vicinity. Flip 5 has replaced this feature by the introduction of Party Boost which stands tall in terms of a better connection and experience. However, there is one downside attached to it which is the presence of Party Boost features in less number of devices when compared to Connect+.

You will be surprised to know that sound quality within Flip 5 is exceptional as compared to its rival despite the smart derivers. The credit to excellent quality rests upon the improved quality of frequency drivers. The frequency drivers within Flip 5 are advanced enough to control the bass settings, tonal frequencies and volume adjustments. This gives Flip 5 a very sharp quality of sound compared to its rival.

Flip 4 still remains in the game because of its bass settings which has an efficient work over detailing on low tones. However, on high tones, there is distortion noticed but it works brilliantly on a medium scale.

The battery life within both of the devices is almost same. In general, both of the devices provide 12 hours battery life which is brilliant when looked from the point of view of the features provided by both of them.

There is a minor contrast in between the battery capacities of both of the speakers which gives the ball in Flip 5’s court where you get to find 20W output power compared to the 16W output power of Flip 4. Both the devices are provided by a rechargeable battery alongside a type-c USB port and power cables in order to assist the charging process.

You can find Flip 4 costing you a hundred and fifty bucks almost, though sales may deviate this price. On the contrary, flip 5 is easily available in a range of one hundred twenty or thirty bucks.

There is a narrow boundary in between both the devices, which segregates one from the other. Because of the presence of Connect+, Flip 4 enjoys a higher prestige compared to its rival. This feature gives the users access to a strong quality sound which makes the environment alive along with the presence of strong drivers and a stable Bluetooth connection. However, it may cost you a bit more than you have expected. If you are tight on budget, you can find Flip 5 as your refuge.
